We feel very fortunate to have found a home for our artists and customers where our values are so deeply aligned.
Over the past few years, it has become evident that Studio by VIDA is much stronger and more sustainable with a strong partner like Artist Shops in order to continue to serve our global community. This opportunity allows our Studio by VIDA artist community to showcase your artwork on many new product lines across Artist Shops, Threadless.com, and select retail and online channels, reaching a significantly larger customer base. For our Studio by VIDA customers, this is an opportunity to discover an exciting new assortment of art-inspired products. As a result of this partnership, we have closed Studio by VIDA, and the business runs on the Artist Shops platform. Artist Shops is looking to expand its platform to fine artists from around the world, bringing scarves and other VIDA product categories to the Artist Shops platform over the coming months, and is honored and thrilled to welcome the VIDA community.

option to choose products to showcase your designs on and create your merchandise
collection in your Artist Shop.

14. How do I earn?
Earning from your Threadless Artist Shop involves selling your designs and products to customers through the platform and receiving a portion of the revenue generated from those sales. Here are the ways you can earn on your Threadless Artist Shop:
Create and Upload Your Artwork: Start by creating and uploading your artwork to your Threadless Artist Shop. These can be illustrations, designs, or other creative works you want to showcase and sell.

Access Your Artist Shop Dashboard: From your Threadless account, go to your Artist Shop dashboard. You can typically access this by clicking on your profile icon or name and selecting "Shop Dashboard" from the drop-down menu.
Customize Your Artist Shop Banner: The banner at the top of your shop is one of the most prominent visual elements. Customize it to reflect your brand. You can create a banner image that includes your brand logo, name, or a visual representation of your style.

Organize Your Products: Use categories and tags to organize your designs and products. Create categories that align with your brand's themes or style. For example, you can have categories like "Nature-inspired," "Geometric Designs," or "Abstract Art."
Choose a Consistent Color Palette: Consistency in your shop's color scheme can create a cohesive and memorable brand identity. Use colors that match your artistic style and preferences. You can incorporate these colors into your banner, profile picture, and product images.
Feature Your Best Work: Use the Homepage Collection to highlight your best or most representative designs. These featured items will be displayed prominently on your shop's homepage.
Regularly Update Your Portfolio: Keep your shop fresh by regularly adding new designs and products that align with your brand. Staying up-to-date can engage your audience and encourage repeat visits.
23. Do I keep my design rights?
The answer to this question is covered in the Terms of Service. Please find a copy of the specific paragraph below.
LICENSE AND USE OF ARTWORK
Threadless.com’s services empower artists to earn money from their Artwork by making it immediately available for sale on a variety of products - without giving up control of their rights. You retain all of Your ownership rights, including all copyright and other intellectual property rights, in the Artwork you submit to the Website and to Your Artist Shop. The exception to this is Artwork submitted to the Website in a themed design challenge, in which case the third-party sponsor of the challenge may require ownership of all Artwork submitted in that challenge. Please refer to the rules applicable to any design challenge you enter.
By uploading Artwork to the Website, You grant Threadless.com the license above in Paragraph 7 and further agree that Threadless.com may: (i) display your Artwork on the Website and in magazines, television shows, movies, on the Internet, and other media; (ii) sell Your Artwork; and (iii) make modifications to your Artwork as necessary to prepare your Artwork for use in a particular product category or for other manufacturing purposes. In addition, you represent that Threadless.com may legally make and sell merchandise incorporating Your Artwork without being obligated to make any payments to or obtain any permission from, any third party.
With the exception of Artwork submitted through contests, design challenges, surveys, games, or other promotions (collectively, "Promotions"), you may delete your Artwork from the Website at any time, but due to caching and other technical issues, it may take a number of days for it to be completely removed from the Website. Upon the removal of Artwork by You (in the case of an Artist Shop), or by Threadless (by emailing artist.help@threadless.com), the licenses above will terminate, except that, to the extent any Artwork has been incorporated into merchandise purchased and/or manufactured by Threadless.com prior to Your removal, Threadless.com may sell-through all such merchandise until it is depleted. The terms regarding payment to Artists apply to such sales. Threadless.com may also continue to use your Artwork in marketing and promotional materials if such materials were created prior to Your removal of the Artwork from the Website. For Artwork submitted through a Promotion, such as an ongoing Threadless Design Challenge, please also refer to section 21 of these Terms of Use.

24. Are there order minimums?
There is no minimum order amount. Your Artist Shop is a true online store that supports orders of any size. Order 1 or 100 or more of any Artist Shop product.
25. Who handles the shipping and customer service?
Threadless handles payment, packing, shipping, and customer inquiries. You focus on what's in your Shop and sharing and promoting your work. Threadless handles the rest.
26. What countries does Threadless support?
You can open an Artist Shop from anywhere in the world as long as you have a PayPal account.

27. Will I know who my customers are?
Yes, You'll have customer information on every order placed in your shop so you can choose to communicate with buyers as you see fit. All customer support and order communication is facilitated through Threadless.
Alternatively, social media will be a great help to keep your customers and followers updated with your product launches and campaigns.
28. Is there an affiliate program? How does it work for me?
No, but Threadless gives you tons of tools to promote your design all over the internet.
To start, go to your profile settings to link all your accounts, like Facebook, Twitter, Flickr, Behance, LinkedIn, YouTube, Vimeo, Instagram, and Tumbler.
Product Portfolio
29. Will some of the VIDA products move over to Threadless? For example, VIDA’s modal scarves?
At the moment, scarves are not yet available on their platform. The Threadless team is considering launching scarves first half of 2024, but this has not been confirmed yet.
30. Will my VIDA products appear on Threadless.com?
You will have a new selection of products from Threadless. These products won’t be the
same items as previously found on Studio by VIDA. The Studio by VIDA products won’t be available after the transition to the Threadless platform.
31. What’s the image/design size requirement when creating a product?
The primary file of the design must be at least 2000 X 2000px in PNG or jpg format. The hi-resolution file must be 4200 X 4800 pixels (wide x tall) transparent .png. The bigger the product, the higher the design file requirement.
Studio By VIDA
32. Will Studio by VIDA continue to be there as well?
Studio by VIDA will fully transition to Threadless Artist Shops. By November 1, 2023, Studio by VIDA will cease to exist, and your Studio by VIDA account will be automatically deleted.
33. What will happen to my saved designs?
After November 1, 2023, the designs in your VIDA library won’t be accessible any longer. It will be permanently deleted.
34. Can I download the designs from Studio by VIDA?
The low-resolution file that was used to create the product can be downloaded from the Studio by VIDA library. The high res file will need to be re-uploaded onto the Artist Shops platform.
35. What will happen to my collection page link or the affiliate link?
Studio by VIDA will fully transition to Threadless and Studio by VIDA, including the Studio
website and all collection pages, won’t be accessible anymore after October 31, 2023.
36. When are you taking down my VIDA collection page?
On October 31, 2023. After this date, the Studio by VIDA website and the collection pages will no
longer be accessible.
37. Will I still be able to order my VIDA items, including scarves?
We won’t be able to receive orders for any Studio by VIDA items after October 31, 2023. We want to
invite you to explore the new products offered on the Threadless platform to create a new
collection with your designs. Similarly, every item is made to order right when you order it; your order requires some processing time. Shipment processing times are stated at checkout and in your order confirmation.
Here is an example of how the processing lead time is shown on the checkout page. In this example, the T-shirt ordered has a processing lead time of 2-5 days plus shipping time.
38. What will happen with my VIDA product designs?
They will no longer be accessible and will be permanently removed from our library.
39. Until when can I order my VIDA items?
You can order your VIDA items until October 31, 2023. On. the following day, November 1, 2023, the platform will no longer be accessible and we invite you to create new products on the Threadless platform.
40. Will I still receive my commission on orders placed in July and August on the Studio by VIDA platform?
Yes, any commission due for the months of July, August, September, and October 2023 will be paid out within the month of November 2023.
41. Can I still use my rendered product images from Studio by VIDA and use them on my own site/ postings?
Yes, you can. Please ensure you take screenshots of the products before October 31, 2023. Please
note that we won’t be able to support production for the items after October 31, 2023.
42. What if I have a big wholesale order for a Studio by VIDA item?
Please send us the order inquiry on or before October 31, 2023. All inquiries can be sent to bettertogether@shopvida.com. After October 31, 2023, please contact Threadless CS at Help@Threadless.com to discuss the options available.
